FOR KIND ATTENTION OF DDPIs / BEOs / HMs / PRINCIPALS

All DDPIs/BEOs/HMs/Principals of Government, Private and Aided institutions/schools are hereby requested to follow the instructions as per the circular issued by the Office of the Commissioner, Directorate of Urdu and other Linguistics Minorities, Department of Education, Bangalore regarding PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS 2010-11 offered for Minority Students from Class1 to 10.

Copy of the same is hereby displayed for your information and needful action.

Post Matric Scholarships 2010-11 (FRESH & RENEWAL)

Who can apply ?

Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing Class XI / XII (PUC), Vocational Courses in I.T.I/I.T.C., JOC, Diploma (Technical & Paramedical), D.Ed, D.Pharma, GNM, Graduation (B.A, B.Com,B.Sc, B.B.M, B.C.A, BSW, B.Ed, B.P.Ed, B.LibSc, BTA, etc.), Post Gradutaion ( M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed, M.PEd, MTA, PG Diploma, etc..), M.Phil, & Ph.D for Post-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

Conditions

(a) To be eligible, students should have scored not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.

(b) The annual income of the student's parents'/guardians' from all sourses should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.

Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit. (c) The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2009-10 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2010-11, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous examination.

(d) A xerox copy of the reciept for having paid the College fee should be enclosed along with the application.

(e) Applications received after last date will not be considered.

(f) Incomplete application & incomplete documents will not be considered.

(b) Fill up the application form and send it by post to the above address along with required certificates and documents with the signature of the principal.

NOTICE

Letter issued by the Chief General Manager RBI/2005-06/204 vide reference No. DBOD.leg.BC.44/09.07.005/2005.06 dtd 11/11/2005 adressed  to All scheduled commercial banks (excluding RRB’s ) is displayed here. This may be brought to the notice of the concerned banks who refuse to open ‘No-Frills’ accounts with ‘nil’ or ‘very low minimum balances’.

PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS 2010-11
(FRESH & RENEWAL)

Who can apply ?

Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing education from class I to X in Government/Recognized Private Schools/Institutions for Pre-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

Conditions

1. To be eligible, Student should have scored not less than 50% of marks in previous final examination. In case of Class-I students, 50% marks requirement will not apply, only the income criteria will be applicable.

2. The annual income of the student's parents/ guardian from all sourses should not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh (One Lakh). Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit.

3. The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2009-10 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2010-11, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous examination.

4. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.

5. Incomplete Application and Incomplete documents will not be considered.

How to apply ?

1. Log on to the website www.gokdom.com or www.gokdom.kar.nic.in and download application form.

2. Fill up the application form & Submit the same to the concerned school Principal/Head Master
on or before 15-07-2010.

3. The School Principals/Head Masters should collect the application forms from the candidates,
prepare a list of candidates in a prescribed format provided by the department,
Submit the application forms along with the list of students to their concerned BEOs
on or before - 22/07/2010

Pre-Examination training for Minority Candidates for UPSC/KPSC Examinations

The Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Karnataka intends to sponsor students of Minority Community for UPSC, Indian Civil Services Examinations 2011. Applications are invited from candidates who are eligible to appear for Indian Civil Services Examination of 2011 belonging to minority community for Pre-Examination training for preliminary and Main examination. Selection of candidates will be by an objective type examination of 200 marks which will be held during August 2010. Selected candidates will be sponsored to institution of their choice at New Delhi/Hyderabad/Chennai/Bangalore etc. The coaching fee for all the subjects will be paid by the Government and also a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per candidate, per month for places outside Karnataka and Rs. 3000/- per month for places within Karnataka will be paid for one year to the selected candidates.

1. The applicant’s parents/guardian’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum

Note:- The above benefit will be extended to candidates for main Examination of UPSC Indian Civil Services Examination of 2010./KPSC, Karnataka Administrative Services Examination of 2010, if they pass respective preliminary Examinations. They should apply in the prescribed format with in 10 days of the announcement of results of the preliminary examination to the Director, Directorate of Minorities, 20th Floor, V.V. Tower, Dr. BR Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore 560001.

Remedial Coaching for Minority Students

The Department of Minority welfare, Government of Karnataka,intends to implement the Scheme of Remedial Coaching to the Urdu Medium Students of VII & X Standard in English/Kannada Medium for English,Kannada, Mathematics and Science Subjects to facilitate them to change over to English or Kannada Medium in their future Studies.

Government/aided/unaided recognized private schools desirous of availing this benefit may apply to the Director of Minorities 100% aid will be given to Government Schools and 75% aid will be given to aided/unaided private Schools.
